Last weekend, my friend Stowe returned to Pittsburgh to move into his apartment [yay friends]. I was lucky enough to be invited to eat at
Avenue B with his parents for dinner and it was 1) super delicious and 2) so much fun. So thank you for inviting me, Mr. and Mrs. Hammarberg, once again!
I also joined them for my first trip (ever) to IKEA. And it was kind of bizarre, not gonna lie. There were a ton of other families with college students looking for furniture too. There was something very weird about being led through all these show rooms, then rooms full of pre-built furniture and then finally ending up in the warehouse where we picked up neatly packaged boxes of tables and bed frames and dressers.

It was no Avenue B, but still pretty tasty

We got a happy camper over here
I helped Stowe move some of his boxes into his apartment, which has this awesome glass window:

In the bathroom, though
The next day I did a little exploring on Walnut Street, which has a couple quirky stores like
Kards Unlimited. This store was full of cool books, stuffed animals, post cards, and posters.
I made another trip to Market Square downtown with my friend Sarah. I found the ONE SINGLE Bank of America ATM in the city of Pittsburgh before we headed to the farmers' market. We grabbed some lunch (pierogies for Sarah, Italian sausage for me) and then sat in PPG square before heading to class.

It's a lot nicer here when the fountains on!
So I'm slowly exploring Pittsburgh, but I think I need to pick up the pace a little since I only have about a week and a half left here! Next on my list: the incline, the strip district and some of the museums around campus.
